i'm trying create backup of laptop include of programs, files, photos, settings, licenses, etc. best option seems to use system image backup so. have create backup on new, blank external hard drive? or can create backup on external hard drive has files , things on it? doing cause problems later on? also, told when creating system image backup should create recovery drive on separate flash drive. difference? recovery drive allows save copy of os can boot after crash , use system backup restore everything? i'm not tech savvy person not sure if obvious question. i'm trying find way create backup of in case worst happens or need move of stuff new laptop places either vague or super techy point don't understand they're talking about.  hello, it best use blank hard drive when creating system image backup, easier locate backup when needed. if need step step process, here's link .

the creators edition update available, knows. downloaded update assistant. went through preliminaries and started download update. when got 100%, verified download, went downloading again. again @ 100%, started download again. @ 100%, said there problem , gave error code 0x8007000d. i have looked @ many possible solutions none of them pertain creators update, anniversary update. i have tried feels everything, , getting annoyed all, no far forward. is there easy fix this, or give , wait windows update push down pipe possibly next week?? i take no 1 has idea error code , how fix it?? hi, the system account default has full control permissions registry path hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\enum\root , subkeys. if permissions have been altered, see error code 0x8007000d. for more information error, please check article . note : article provided windows 7, however, describes error code

hi, have been having issue months windows won't update no matter try,  did sfc scan  windows resource protection did not find integrity violations tried update using windows setup on  usb it says update failed  downloaded updated troubleshooter keeps finding corrupt database apply fix says it's fixed still, won't update(i attached picture of it) deleted  softwaredistribution , 2 other folders , created new ones didn't help  also tried  dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth no component store corruption detected. operation completed successfully. also did this  net stop wuauserv net stop cryptsvc net stop bits net stop msiserver rename softwaredistribution , catroot2 folder. ren c:\windows\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.old ren c:\windows\system32\catroot2 catroot2.old net start wuauserv net start cryptsvc net start bits net start msiserver also didn't work  also tried differing up
