File explorer and more stopped working - Microsoft Community

after recent cumulative update windows 10 file explorer has stopped working . 

i thought i'd try uninstall update can't control panel open either.  the program  that open chrome. 

try booting safe mode:

  • log out , go sign in screen.
  • hold down shift key on keyboard while clicking power button on screen.
  • continue hold down shift key while clicking restart.
  • continue hold down shift key until advanced recovery options menu appears.
  • click troubleshoot
  • click advanced options
  • click startup settings
  • click restart
  • press (4) enable safe mode
  • wait while windows 10 starts in safe mode.
  • log in

proceed uninstall update.

which antivirus utility have installed?



Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
