okay so, working perfectly until today (april 3rd - 2017) when got notified there new update windows. so, did install new windows update , when install completed, computer rebooted. said "hi, installing new update pc, might take few minutes. screen went black , said "let's go!". desktop popped-up , saw strange. labels , icons missing! rebooted computer few times problem still there. if can take @ image above, can see labels , icons missing. not windows! it's missing applications paint. in apps windows settings , windows store nothing missing. i need fast since need use computer important things , cannot bug! please need quick! thank you! if help: - acer 4k monitor (3840 x 2160 @ 60hz) scale , layout: 175% - intel core i7 - 4790k @ 4.0 ghz - msi geforce gtx 1070 graphics card latest nvidia update - 2x8 gb ddr3 once again, thank help! i kept on windows 10, , today happened aga

hello all, running extremely annoying issue , hoping expert inputs here. try detailed possible. here sequence of events , effort fix issue. 1) bought brand new laptop dell vostro 3559 came preinstalled windows 7 german version. 2) had upgraded windows 10 using disk got pc 3) yesterday windows 10 installing updates 4-5 hours , hard reset pc (pressing power button) 4) later startup trying restore previous version of windows , hung. 5) used dvd disk again reinstall windows 10 (recovery using drive > complete cleanup) 6) after 92%, got following screen (please see screenshot) 7) later ran following commands recommended people here bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd first 2 commands ran fine third 1 gave me following error yet fix. did clean reinstall of windows second time well. scanning disks windows installations. please wait, since may take while... scanned windows installations. total identifie

i upgraded windows 7 machine (hp mini notebook) win 10 last year.  this machine gets used occassionally when out , about, gets updated. tried update , goes endless search never finds updates.  occassionally error code 80080008 , 800705b4 occassionally. i have tried using troubleshooter fixed 4 issues left me pending reboot.  this did, has made no difference. according "more info" page on updating has never been updated, not true if go "uninstal updates" page has 60 odd individual updated programs listed. i have tired number of suggestions forum none have worked. considering win10 supposed final solution updating not good.  i moved away microsoft apple because of same issues experienced vista!  same computer in 01 july 2016 thread ? yesterday plugged hdmi cable laptop , tv , able watch movie.  today tried doing same , got on tv hdmi3 in yellow @ top left hand corner of black tv screen.  there no picture on tv screen - it's black.  i purchased new hdmi cable, plugged in turned tv , laptop on same result - no picture on tv black screen.   suggestions? hi christobel, first, check settings>system>display, there 2 display's shown? if both shown , hdmi cable plugged other #3 hdmi port on tv change tv setting correct hdmi port. if tv hdmi port # selection correct , both displays shown as present in pc settings try dragging app window you're playing movie in (while still not in full screen mode) off of main screen , onto tv screen (depending on pc display setting right hand side). if "yesterday plugged hdmi cable laptop" indicates that first time plugged in normal in os recognizes laptop display being main display.  if case,
