Cortana not responding once opened - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i having trouble cortana, working fine until when got 1 of viruses keeps bringing pop ups out, managed rid of virus , regain control of laptop cortana doesn't respond anything except open little box in corner when hey cortana.

if me out fix or point me i'd grateful.

• when issue start?
• is cortana not responding command?
• what troubleshooting steps have tried far?

meanwhile, recommend restart cortana settings page. disable cortana , function, re-enable again check if make work.

if still encountered same concern, recommend restart cortana processes performing steps below:

1. right-click on taskbar, select task manager.
2. click more details.
3. find cortana under processes.
4. select cortana, click end task.
