you can borrow exact same edition of windows 7 pro retail dvd , use product key on coa sticker reinstall operating system.

and if have manufacturer's recovery partition on hard drive , can boot windows, should able make , have your own recovery disks reinstall operating system in case of hard drive failure.
look under programs > computer manufacturer's name > system tools or recovery software headings them, depending how worded.
if can not find reference it, contact the manufacturer advice on how make recovery disks.
