Ethernet Cable doesn't show up as being plugged in - Microsoft Community

hello there!

i'm having trouble getting ethernet cable work computer (an inspiron 3847). when plug in ethernet cable ethernet port, shows being unplugged, , provides absolutely no internet via ethernet whatsoever:

i've went bios , confirmed ethernet enabled, , i've updated driver software make sure it's in working condition. cable fine: works other computer have.

we appreciate steps have performed resolve issue.  further isolate issue, we'd know status of ethernet.  try steps below:

  1. go control panel.
  2. choose network , sharing center from list.
  3. click ethernet. check if option between properties and diagnose is set disable.



let know status further assistance.
