recently came across random problem. when started laptop airplane mode turned on , once disabled wifi turned off , greyed out. wifi icon showed red x. watched videos, tried: updating network adapters device manager (they date) diagnosing wifi thing( forgot name) pc icon wifi turned on had red x aswell. thing is, ethernet 1 not working, tried cableing router still no. anyways after diagnosing it said wireless capability turned off , troubleshooter wasnt able re enable it. why need help, it's been 2 days , have clients waiting on me. that sounds wireless switch, located differently on each make/model - physical slider or toggle switch, hotkey on top row.    i'd ask google wireless switch exact make/model.  it may fn key along top, need toggle fn key trigger if want type capital letter instead of shift use fn key.    Windows / Wind

upgraded surface pro 3 windows 8.1 windows 10 when upgrade available. no problem. however, not have windows 10 cdroms or recovery disk. an update windows 10 automatically downloaded machine past weekend. went state reddish-pink background screen message "preparing system update - not power down system". hung in state 1.5 days - never completing.  i forced power down , restarted holding f10 key troubleshooting mode. nothing recover system; actions tried "failed". did not try recover recovery disk since don't have 1 , don't have cdroms windows 10 since software download.  how restore system functionality without going pc store or (heaven forbid geek squad) have recovered? so had 'reset' pc, using version of windows on ssd's partition. i'm not sure version of windows 10 pro have, except version 14393. trying update / upgrade version 15063.  what has been happening is: download way 100%, hang 15 seconds, , go 0% , start over. on , on , over. there no indication these different versions being downloaded, can see (i've checked). seems same cumulative updated being repetitively downloaded. now, download estimated @ around 4 gigs. i've lost 16+ gigs of internet bandwidth repetitive download cycle (however, there hasn't been significant decrease in disc space, remains same, making me think data 'lost' somehow).  there's 1 thing can think of might @ heart of this: when started update / upgrade process, got 5% when there system crash (which may or may not have been related download). crash resulted in reboot, , when restarted download, went 5% again, making me think that amount of
