Printer or computer is inhabited by a ghost. - Microsoft Community

i use windows 7 , hp printer.

a couple of years ago wrote word letter heading @ top of page, "amish country theater."

i printed letter , went on life.  however, since then, heading appear @ top of page when print web site on internet.  it's ghost or vampire can't rid of.  tired of cutting off 1/2 inch of paper @ top of page!

can help?

this issue related neither windows 7 nor hp printer. 

the problem bit difficult diagnose because of use of term "occasionally."

if problem happens when whatever you're printing opens word , prints, problem normal.dot or normal.dotm file, depending on version of word have.  test this, open word , start new document, type few letters , print it.  "amish country theater" appear anywhere?

if problem happens when print web browser, problem caused setting of "header" printing.  don't understand, however, why occur "occasionally."

if you're using internet explorer 11, please following (if you're using web browser, please specify 1 , version):

• in ie 11, press alt key make menus visible , click "file"
• click "page setup"
• set drop-down boxes under "header" "-empty-" (or through options , select suits you)
