hi folks, i have issue an windows build i'm working on. base w8.1 pro 32 built off volume licence media, updated , running latest drivers. crash on 1 cold boot in 10 bsod , nonpaged error shown on screen. bluescreen view suggest issue intel hd driver have tried 3 versions of driver (manufacturer's official driver, previous intel based on chipset , latest intel based on chipset). interestingly base image not crash when first created once customer has installed application. strange thing have been working customer long time on identical hardware , software application problem comes after moved volume licence image oem 8.1 end of life. confirm customers previous image (same os, same updates, same applications, same hardware) works fine. created them new image based on vl media runs fine until load application. below mini dump file. any suggestions gladly received. customer not ready move w10 yet need keep them on 8.1 bit longer. thanks

i cleaned of data reinstall (reset windows) , didn't plug external storage , else (except wired mouse , power charger). and   i follow instruction , when reset finished, restarted , got "hi there let's few basic....  and restarted laptop thrice enter kind of boot options (it's in blue screen also), choose troubleshoot - advance option - startup repair, , suddenly, must take password (administrator, not password or any). , problem when ask computer shopkeeper in shop buy laptop, said click continue (no input password), , result wrong password i don't know how that just hope if there's way out problem thank you  n.b: don't have installer (cd , usb), don't tell me use installer "hi there let's few basic...." that's point downloading on computer. should leave computer on state. based on understanding, restarted computer while on stage, hence, interrupted down

i'm try reset laptop using command prompt. when push remove pop saying. there's problem resting pc no changes made. ***post moved moderator appropriate forum category.*** you must go bios , change boot order usb drive top of boot list, if have option disable safe boot, save changes , reboot. please note: during installation process, system reboot, must @ point change boot order system boots hard drive, otherwise installation start on again . . . every single computer own, along every single customer running windows 10, system restore not working.  i getting "app staging error 0x80070091" issue, seems quite common.  i have since implemented acronis backup meanwhile since cannot rely on system restore function work, nor can expect of customers go through tedious command line temporary fix (which doesn't work) involving windowsapps folder permissions , ownership issue.  this has been going on 3 months ever since update : kb3213986 does know when microsoft going fix ?  i think 3 months more enough time fix broke previous update.  i not 1 having issue. thanks, craig sherman 954-997-0333 *** email address removed privacy *** Windows / Windows 10 / Windows update, recovery, & backup / PC

i've been struggling getting latest version of windows 10 on asus g73sw laptop since around mid december 2016 when replaced hard drive.  prior this, had been running windows 10 since released public no significant issues.  i upgraded windows 10 windows 8.1 during free upgrade period.   i not certain version of windows 10 running prior replacing hard drive believe @ least anniversary update able add extensions edge browser , have read anniversary update required ability.       after replacing hard drive attempted preform clean install latest version of windows 10 using media creation tool usb drive.  ensured nothing other usb connected laptop during install.  install progressed point of finishing stage , stalled out @ point microsoft logo on screen , circle of rotating dots.  system remained in state 8 hours no hard drive light activity.  had identical results when attempted clean install dvd media.  i tried clean install of older version of
