Windows update issue - does not work! - Microsoft Community

windows 8.1 update stopped working in december/2016, last update installed 14/12/2016.

i set on check updates automatic system never check updates , restart - starts consuming more 30% of cpu , if let working hours, won´t list updates install, continues forever on checking available updates!

this months, after many hours trying solve, using internet available hints, including microsoft forums, forced turn updates off, otherwise pc continuously working on that, no results , fan making lot of noise! after days, try again result same!

can microsoft (or other forum participants) fix old issue ??

after running troubleshooter, may check available updates again. kindly download troubleshooter windows 8 applicable windows 8.1.
