hello, after march update installed in our workstations, started receiving complaints users screen went black. it turns out explorer.exe crashing. ctrl + alt + del still work , invoking task manager , file -> new task -> explorer.exe, temporarily restore machine... minute or two. black screen again. we uninstalled kb4013429 , has solved problem in 16 of our computers. has been reported other companies ? thanks, rg i have found culprit eset antivirus. eset endpoint bsod windows 10 edevmon.sys       i have dissected creating restore points along way.  turned off auto update in registry.  after eset checked console, bsod occurred. i run linux pc of work. wanting access windows apps don't run under wine bought win 8.1 pro licence , installed on linux pc under oracle's virtualbox. install got upgraded win 10 3v66t key. have since acquired pc friend - stuck win7 in update loop , wouldn't boot either in normal or safe mode wiped it, downloaded win10 image , tried install. 3v66t key allowed me install not activate.  is there way can activate real hardware version of pc , delete no longer used virtualbox image? sign in both same microsoft account id. can re-use win 8.1 pro licence - i.e. wipe real pc, install , activate 8.1 , delete virtualbox image on linux pc? suppose better nothing nice able move win 10 licence. just use windows 8.1 pro license reactivate windows 10 pro license on physical pc chat support: click start > settings > update & security > activation > change product key enter new product key

i have client 2 incoming fax servers on windows 7 using windows fax & scan.  these 2 machines on weekly cycle patch management performs automated reboot late wednesday evening , again thursday morning process updates. after first reboot, windows fax & scan's auto answer settings revert default of answering on 5 rings.  long incoming faxes disconnect after four. looking through registry, see reg-dword under fax software entries rings = 2, how resetting 5 on reboot? can managed via gpo stay @ 2? that's odd.  i've used windows fax & scan years, fax set answer after 2 rings, , value has never changed (and yes, i've rebooted many times in period, including involuntary reboots following windows updates). if you're looking @ hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\fax\setup\original setup data\rings whatever value used for, doesn't control number of rings.  value set 5 o
