Windows 10 Install Making Two OSes and No Longer Partitioning Drives - Microsoft Community


so started when wanted load restore point , wasn't working decided preform clean installation of windows.  i deleted partitions on of drives , selected drive wanted install windows on , clicked next.  it installed, reason boot menu came asking os boot , both of them windows 10 1 on "partition 3" , other said windows 10.  i tried repeating process 2 more times , tried different installation disk when tried other install disk said not partition drive correctly because drive of wrong partition type (gpt).  i tried using installation disk used first time (a retail disk) , kept getting error said:

we couldn't create new partition (error: 0xa75e13b0).

now don't know have installed windows on same computer same disk same ssd still not working, hope can help.

specs: i5 6600k@3.50ghz

16gb ram

*trying* install windows 10 home 64-bit

remove hard drives except drive going install windows 10 to

go bios, if have uefi disable secure boot boot menu

when window appears, select bottom option (custom: install windows only)

 

 

when window appears, select each partition, click disc options , delete partitions, until 1 unallocated partition remains. select partition , install onto . . .
