Search not "refreshing" after updating to Windows 10 Creators - Microsoft Community

after downloading , installing creators update smooth process, booted , had @ new features. , until installed new piece of software. software's shortcut in "new apps" part of start menu, normal, when searched shortcut using search start menu, shortcut didn't come up. in start menu folder, search bar couldn't find it, wasn't refreshing. tried re-index, no avail. after that, uninstalled piece of software. again, shortcut removed start menu's apps list when searched it, still came up. if tried click on it, wouldn't anything. right-click neither.

i have tried restarting, ending "cortana" process , re-indexing.
help appreciated.

also, if remove cortana using powershell, log-in user , delete %localappdata%\packages\microsoft.windows.cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy, go in normal user, reinstall cortana , search programs, latest programs come up, if install or uninstall something, problem still present.

hi, had same problem previous windows 10 version , tried new fresh windows install no avail. found solution after struggling year: 

• go settings -> privacy
• scroll down , open background apps
• set "let apps run in background" on (i had disabled this)
• you can safely set off apps listed below that

after few moments, cortana able find programs , applications again. if want sure, restart pc.

i have no idea of why working, hope can helps too.
