Cortana can "hear" me but doesn't understand me - Microsoft Community

hi!

i'm trying cortana respond voice. have verified computer can detect microphone on webcam. able go cortana's training phrases ("tell me joke", etc.) , complete them properly, detected words showing in search bar should. when try "hey cortana" or click microphone button , "what's weather," words not show in search bar, , cortana goes "thinking" screen after finish speaking. several seconds later, message saying cortana can't connect right now.

i tried going wife's profile set on same computer, , cortana worked perfectly.

do need re-register cortana somehow? had re-create own profile after got corrupted , lost access store app. thanks!
