you can contact your computer manufacturer , ask them send set of recovery disks.
they should small cost.
the problem manufacturers no longer have them.

and if never received recovery disk when purchased computer there should recovery partition on hard drive reinstall windows how bought computer.
the recovery process can started pressing particular key or keys combination @ boot. (power on / startup)
it may f10, f11, alt + f10, etc depending on manufacturer.
ask them or us for correct key sequence.

you can borrow , use a microsoft vista dvd (retail or oem system builders license) , contains files various vista editions (home basic, home premium, business , ultimate) to installed. product key on computer / laptop case determines edition installed.
the coa sticker either on underside of laptop or in battery compartment.
with desktop either on side, rear or top of computer case.
other manufacturers' recovery dvds not used the above purpose.
and you need know the "bit" version vista, 32bit , 64bit editions come on different dvds.
