PC stopped recognizing Lumia 1520 phone

lumia 1520 - win 10 anniversary update

had phone connected pc.

it recognized device.

restarted phone

received "usb device not recognized".

the phone functional, , getting charged laptop.

tried different variations of rebooting , reattaching phone, nothing worked

rebooted laptop - no longer receive " usb device not recognized" message, nothing. phone sill charges.

tried rebooting both devices simultaneously - no effect.

i tried soft reset, turn off phone, attach pc in thread

no effect. still don't get " usb device not recognized" message. nothing. phone keeps charging.

how solve
