New monitor not recognized on reboot or awakening from hibernation - Microsoft Community

use kvm switch (intellinet) share mouse, keyboard , monitor between 2 machines both running 64 bit win 7.  old monitor, used in portrait orientation, failed, , replaced acer k272hl landscape orientation.  both computers detected new monitor, on reboot or awakening hiberation, 1 of them reverts generic pnp monitor portrait orientation.  have go through detect monitor process in control panel each time landscape.  i've tried cold boot after disconnecting power, cabling, , kvm switch, , tried updating drivers (i have nvidia geforce 9600 gt graphics card), no success.  ideas?

not issue can attributed drivers not working new device have connected computer.  better understand our next course of action this, know if have updated drivers.
