Lost Days and DAYS of work with the update and subsequent forced - Microsoft Community
so, have been repeatedly enraged windows 10 somehow getting around attempts around attempts hal 9000, aside unbelievably frustrating 2 weeks of dealing thinking laptop had virus , searching , searching , million things done find out after factory reset was, in fact, trying cure virus operating system, have not lost serious amount of work.
still have raged against unbelievably ridiculous behavior keeps getting me, since have keep redoing efforts keep windows taking control of hardware , apparently missed step again because returned computer , duplicate file deletion / consolidation / organzing project i've been working on literally, several days now. 40,000 work files i've been meticulously going through dupe file program delete. because had no quicker way 'save' work, left project open , meticulously have been manually selecting proper file versions delete. haven't worked solid on days, can't. terrible tension headaches, i've been doing can.
and return computer, ready dig in massive project again, , lo , behold, windows 10 happens have update in middle of work , **** reboots system. despite attempts control behavior (having redo many times after updates pretty has assured miss step in process of having go ridiculous lengths control own hardware) windows forced reboot , duplicate finder file program has lost every bit of work had done project, not save until done marking massive amount of files.
and i'm paying behavior. client , paying software. microsoft has no **** right take control of hardware in fashion. audacity of company, , if talk tech support dance around , tell people won't responsible updates themselves, imply somehow makes "ok" microsoft decide *make* update , force reboot on own authority.
i angry right cannot breathe in order keep exploding.
before can start on allllllllllll slow , meticulous manual file selecting doing, first have go , @ system , figure out missed step in disabling reboot , retaking, millionth time, seems, ownership of process. lately saw there program protect atrocious forced reboot, , try 1 of them save myself work , pain of possibly missing step.
because i've been using windows since 3.11, i've been reluctant try , find o/s has many programs available, , forth , etc. i'm having throw years of chosen o/s experience, , time have invested in o/s, out window start on learning scratch because not continuing support company thinks should in charge of after have *paid them* product! product meant useful tool consumer not turn consumer tool.
i angry on *so* many different levels can't touch on them in post, , fall on deaf ears, if could.
i live in california , saw article stating in california sued microsoft loss of work due behavior, , looking , if true, pursuing avenue well. don’t think *same* article, may be:
