Windows 8.1 Endless Restart Loop - Microsoft Community

i installed patches on weekend windows upgrade center on pc. pc restarted, went , said had restart again. restarted automatically , again ....

i tried following options:

a) start in safe-mode: doesn't let me. using windows 8 install cd going advanced options doesn't display startup options (menu option missing). tried shift-f8 doesn't work.

b) tried repair pc last restore point , 1 before. system message can't set there an antivirus program running both times.

c) tried repair installation, came drive locked.

is there other option complete refresh?

the computer restart loop problem result of device driver, bad system component or hardware that causes a windows system spontaneously reboot in middle of the boot process. end result machine can never boot completely.

sorted out, suggest following troubleshooting steps provided ratandeep on link.
