hello,
my problem have just installed windows 10 pro upgrade windows 8.1 pro [installation the official dvd iso] , went > resulting in windows 10 pro version 10240.
but... after 2 hours of testing , checking new features, decided proceed "anniversary upgrade" version 14393 available microsoft [windows10upgrade28084.exe].
all went well, until process reached 85% of updating.
then installer displayed message "something went wrong" error code: 0x80070057.
i tried apply update again, , again - same thing happened 4 times in row > error @ 85%.
i checked windows registry errors , corrected issues, i performed disk cleaning , restarted pc same thing happened again.
considering whole process start until error appears takes 1 hour, trying upgrade 4 times no result total waste of time.
i want to mention 1 day before did same upgrade version 14393 on laptop of friend, , went without any problems.
this problem appeared on desktop pc, powerful enough support windows 10 latest version.
if can find solution grateful.
