Windows 10 Pro re-install problems - Microsoft Community

hi, trying re install windows 10 pro (over same copy of windows 10 pro) installed on new machine. had because 1 of apps installed (possibly metastock or iteleport) has corrupted pc somehow (something qt not being present anymore)

it gets stuck @ 68% , says "windows not configure 1 or more system components..."

i've updated drivers in device manager , disabled dvd player , audio devices per forum recommendations. i've unplugged devices except monitors, mouse , keyboard. copied thumb drive windows installer desktop , removed have tried installing folder without thumb drives in pc.

all no avail. can't upload setup log file cos 62.7mb , won't attach.

what do?

regards,

craig

actually youre best bet win os corruption, would open cmd, type:  sfc /scannow  win file restore/fix

utility chks/repairs win os,it runs auto.once thru,type:  chkdsk c: /f  agree restart,type: exit  restart pc,the

repairs made on restart..as win os install/re-install,most pcs have win os on seperate partition,if so

on pc start,tap key start-up options,select reinstall,if none exist,& win 10 os on cd,enter bios,

boot priority,install win 10 cd,set cd 1st boot priority,hd 2nd,save & exit.look "press key boot cd"

this install/reinstall thru ms-dos preffered install,plus,remove any/all 3rd party hardware except mouse/keyboard,replug after install..also,you might try sfc 1st,on pc start,tap f8 key,select start in cmd,type:

sfc /scannow  might work

Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
