WI-FI problem - Microsoft Community


pc can detect networks when click on particular network, not drop down connect option. problem. s can see down on picture there, when click on caa network, wont drop down show connect option!!

let's try these simple troubleshooting steps , see if corrects problem:

method 1: verify if wlan service started and set automatic. if stopped, suggest start service , set automatic.

  1. press windows logo key + x, click run.
  2. type services.msc in space provide , hit enter.
  3. select wlan autoconfig service list, , double-click on it.
  4. change startup type to automatic and click start to start service.
  5. click apply and click ok.
  6. restart computer , check if network detected. if not, proceed method 2.

method 2:reset dns , tcp/ip settings.

  1. press windows logo key + x, click command prompt (admin).
  2. please enter following commands, , press enter after each one.
    netsh int ip reset
    ipconfig /flushdns
  3. restart computer check issue.

check if system able detect network. if not, proceed method 3.

method 3:assign static gateway provided service provider.

  1. press windows logo key + x, click run.
  2. type ncpa.cpl in space provide , hit enter.
  3. right-click network connection (local area connection) , click properties.
  4. click highlight "internet protocol version 4 (tcp/ipv4) and click properties.
  5. point use following ip address. according router’s settings, fill in the ip address, subnet mask anddefault gateway (as provided service provider).
  6. click ok.
