Unable to send with smtp.gmail.com, socket error 11004 - Microsoft Community

i getting same message while sending mail gmail account through window live mail.

please let me know solution. tried sending mail many email gmail account , results same.

you didn't, did you? have 4 spaces @ end of server name: smtp.gmail.com⬜⬜⬜⬜. right-click on account name in folder pane , select properties.

 

  • on servers tab 
     
    • ensure outgoing server name is smtp.gmail.com with no characters or spaces
       
    • ensure email username is full gmail address
       
    • select log on using clear text authentication
       
    • select my server requires authentication
       
  • on advanced tab 
     
    • ensure that this server requires secure connection (ssl) is selected both incoming , outgoing mail.
                  
       
  • click apply and ok
     

 

remove unsent messages outbox (below account folders in folder pane), compose new test message unique subject , send yourself. post any new error message in reply.
