Can not change password as an admin - Microsoft Community

hello - administrator on new work computer , password log in long , have @ on piece of paper type in every time log in. long story short, want change password make simpler. keep getting message computer when attempting change: "configuration not read domain controller, either because machine broken, or access has been denied".

this not make sense since admin , computer works fine.

any feedback appreciated.
