bootmgr is missing - Microsoft Community

ok have "bootmgr missing" calling card on black screen of death. i'm running windows 10 given free microsoft upgrade windows 7 os. have windows 7 os install disk can boot disk , go repair.  problem i'm having repair shows windows 10 os , when repair runs drops out "can't repair"  looking deeper see error " incompatible os repair disk".  so i'm thinking windows 7 install disk can not repair windows 10 os.  of course windows 10 given in internet downloads don't have windows 10 boot disk. have tried many things suggested in forum dealing "bootmgr missing" , far nothing has worked.

open suggestions please.

solved problem!!  thought start beginning , write down try.  i changed boot disk location ( had 2 different 1bc , 1bd ) coming off of 1bc no good. changed boot bios boot off of 1bd , booted up. ensure have leaks closed ie. viruses , or shaky drive. hope reading learn it.  i've been working computers since christ private , know ( 30 years + )about computers , os's, set me , find simple trying different partition.

must had been senior moment.
