Windows 10, version 1607 keeps failing to install - Microsoft Community

my pc keeps trying upgrade windows version 1607 , keeps on failing.  it  ends @ spinning disk on restart have left on over 12 hours.  i reboot computer , reverts previous installation build.  i have tried running trouble shooting "fix problems windows update" before hand , doesn't solve problem.  i tried fix

doesn't seem solve problem either.  this frustrating problem have ever had windows system force feeds these updates don't work.

windows updates may fail install if there corruption errors. example, update might not install if system file damaged. to address concern, suggest follow these methods:

method 1: run windows update troubleshooter.

method 2: reset windows update components.

method 3: fix windows update errors using dism or system update readiness tool.

method 4: disable anti-virus.

note: if have temporarily disable anti-virus software install updates, should re-enable you're done.
