Windows 10 update 1607 fails over and over - Microsoft Community

current build 14393.567  not update, constant fail.

i looked little , seems though event error keeps popping around same time fail.  update gets 3%

unable start dcom server: {fff2d28f-e4ee-44d9-8104-8e71556757f6}. error:
"740"

i looked little further , found failing:

c:\progra~2\common~1\instal~1\update~1\agent.exe -embedding

so looked @ agent.exe file , find little disturbing.

although installshield folder dated 2016, why these files eleven years old!   fails... there way fix not have reinstall windows update?

assuming issue @ , worth pursuing?

this scares me little.   after 19 fails.... while searching these events , files... computer updated.  why after many fails... including today?  while investigating?   out of movie.

assuming works when reboot.
