Microsoft Family Time Limit Lock Moves My Windows Off My Second - Microsoft Community

i added child’s windows 10 standard user microsoft account login microsoft family, set time limits wanted him. didn’t want microsoft family log him off when time , risk losing work wasn’t saved, , wanted ensure didn’t stay logged on beyond time limit because logged on before time up, enabled user configuration -> administrative templates -> windows components -> windows logon options -> “set action take when logon hours expire” in local group policy editor , set “lock”. now, after receiving 2 warnings, computer locks when reaches time limit instead of logging off.

when logs on time limit settings allow, window had been on second monitor moved first monitor. sounds minor issue—slide windows on second monitor , quicher b*chin—but unfortunately it’s not simple. of moved windows can’t accessed/sized/moved/clicked, , apps need shut down , restarted. why locking computer move location of windows in first place?

when user typical “lock” of computer using <win><l>, apps running @ time of lock continue run. if have playlist of songs playing , lock computer, can hear songs continue play. when log on, left it, including location of windows (even on second monitor).

now microsoft family controlling time limits, , group policy set lock computer instead of logging him off when time limit reached, apps running when microsoft family locked computer…stop. music playing…stops. means microsoft family “lock” not same standard <win><l> lock. if microsoft family doing other standard lock, it’s reasonable believe it’s doing shouldn’t doing windows on second screen. is doing if it’s not performing standard lock? , how fix windows stay on second monitor (and music keeps playing)?
