Use of ISO's for custom PC building - Microsoft Community

hi all,

over past 3 years have collected enough pc hardware build 4-5 pc's. love upgrade stuff , hardware person time clear floor. intend on building many custom pc's stock pile allows, know little software comparatively, , in particularly rules regarding installation of windows 10 onto pc's i'm building. know 1 license = 1 user if make usb iso install un registered copies onto new devices, against rules? read terms of agreement didn't out of it. noticed iso based on purchase because when allowed me bypass product key knew purchase date , build number of own pc. question this- using iso made on own pc provide basic win 10 on pc plan sell idea? if not, there way have windows unlicensed on these builds without breaking rules?

thanks help.

there nothing wrong or preventing using iso perform installation on each pc build. reality is, installations won't activate unless have valid key. can keep using them in unactivated state, there limitations such inability customize operating system.

microsoft doesn't make big deal these days , based on conversations have had activation team, taking gentler approach instead of forcing buy license , activate. instead, customer realize benefits of activating windows 10 on time instead of through enforcement.

please aware though, edition installed, edition owner of machine must purchase license if decide activate it.

Windows / Windows 10 / Install, upgrade, & activate / PC
