can not install apps - Microsoft Community

 when trying install app app store,it shows turn on windows update. how can solve problem?please help.

hi,

it sounds there's latest windows 10 software needs installed. verify if running latest version. press windows key + s and type winver. if have windows 10 anniversary update installed, latest os build is (os build 14393.729). otherwise, if running windows 10 version 1511, should see (os build 10586.753).

turn on windows update following these steps:

  1. press windows key + s and type services. 

  2. right-click first result list , select run administrator. 

  3. double-click windows update. 

  4. if the service status is running, click stop. 

  5. make sure set startup type to automatic. 

  6. click apply and ok.

  7. restart computer , run windows update.

verify if installing apps windows store working.
