Windows Update Stuck at Checking for Updates - Microsoft Community

i looking @ windows update under settings, make sure date, seems windows update has been stuck checking updates. looked windows update troubleshooter, , it's been "checking pending restart" 10+ minutes now.

is there done resolve this?

this may or may not same issue having, presented in similar manner. thought checking updates stuck also, , tried number of steps resolve issue, including steps suggested jenicel, nothing working. tried running windows update troubleshooter, , hanging on "checking pending restart" said. reran check updates, , let run until got error message "there problems installing updates, we'll try again later. if keep seeing , want search web or contact support information, may help: (0x800705b4)."

after digging on error, went "advanced options" in windows update page , unchecked "give me updates other microsoft products when update windows." reran check updates , in process of downloading updates - have not finished yet, can't resolve issue, let alone yours, may want give shot. best of luck.
