Unable to print wirelessly from my HP Envy Slim Quad notebook (Win - Microsoft Community

can out there me?  i unable print wirelessly hp envy slim quad notebook (win 7) our hp officejet pro 8610 printer.  this includes ms apps, internet pages, .xps files, etc.  no error messages occur , can see document(s) moving through print queue itself.  however, never print.  i directly connected printer notebook lpt1 port; no success.  oh, document scanning works on wireless network.  here’s what’s strange.  i can print documents wirelessly wife’s hp pavilion notebook (win 7) apple iphone 6.  i can likewise print hp diagnostics troubleshooting tool.  however, notebook (wireless or direct-connect) dead.  here’s 1 thing changed reflect back.  on 3/27/2017, performed windows 7 upgrade (patches) on hp envy slim quad, not wife’s notebook.  since time have been unable print documents.  prior then, had no problems.  has experienced these kinds of issues?  i’ve performed myriad of troubleshooting options (e.g., printer driver reloads, universal drivers, recent windows updates, new ip printer addresses, spooler cleansing, rebooting wireless network 8 times, etc.).  after 2 days of this, i’m giving up.  i appreciate please.

as near can tell, hp envy slim quad doesn't come parallel port (lpt1) , know hp officejet pro 8610 doesn't have parallel port either.  i'm guessing mean connected printer usb port.

let's start @ beginning.  please provide information requested in bold type below.

what mean "new ip printer addresses"?

which printer driver installed, 1 specific officejet pro 8610 or hp's terrible "universal printer driver"?

this hp printer has several different modes of network printing.  have configured either hp eprint or hp wireless direct?  if you've configured hp eprint, can print using mode (i.e., emailing print job printer)?

on computer:

open command prompt window (click start orb, type cmd.exe, press enter)

  1. in black command prompt window, type following , press enter after each line

ipconfig /all > "%userprofile%\desktop\ipinfo.txt"

notepad "%userprofile%\desktop\ipinfo.txt"

exit

  1. in open notepad window, click edit > select (or press ctrl+a) click edit > copy (or press ctrl+c)
  2. in body of question, right-click > paste (or press ctrl+v) data notepad window
  3. close notepad , delete ipinfo.txt desktop

open devices , printers

  1. how many icons in "printers , faxes" category hp officejet pro 8610?
  2. for each such icon, right-click on , select "printer properties"
  3. select "ports" tab
  4. one of lines should checked , highlighted.  what in "port" column line?  may have click , drag on faint vertical line in header row between "port" , "description" in order see entire width of entry in "port" column.  see below.

with icon in "printers , faxes" section selected (highlighted), click link "print server properties" in menu bar @ top of devices , printers window.  select "drivers" tab.  please list hp drivers shown here.  close window without doing @ point.

on printer:

i'm going assume want printer connect via wireless network.  printer can connect using ethernet connection or usb connection, i'm not going there right now.

given can print wirelessly device, assume printer's blue "wireless" light on , not blinking.

print wireless test report:

what printer's ip address shown on wireless test report?

what default gateway shown on wireless test report?

go computer, open web browser, , enter printer's ip address.  does printer's embedded web server open?  if not, happens?
