Unable to install Update/Window loading as USB - Microsoft Community

few weeks ago, laptop went repair. during time, want of data, removed hdd , used usb spare laptop.

once or twice laptop booted hdd (in usb mode). post repairs when installed hdd in laptop, since i'm unable install windows update gives error 'cannot install update in usb mode'

i'm pretty sure got changed or broke in boot of hdd, that's why still booting in usb mode.

any learned friend care desperate soul?

why computer in repair shop? when did computer repair shop? windows 10 installed on hdd or...?
