Windows 7 - Wireless Network will not reconnect automatically after - Microsoft Community

hi

every time boot pc not reconnect wireless network automatically. have key in passcode, and, if keep 'connect automatically' check-box ticked, makes no difference, need key manually connecting after every reboot.

i have looked @ numerous questions , answers on , other forums seem related problem, none of them resolves issue. common fix appears be: go c:\program data\microsoft\wlansvc" , delete data leave profiles , interfaces folders not resolve issue.

now, moved different broadband provider, virgin, sky, have noticed old sky network still listed on 'manage wireless networks' list. in fact, if not manually connect virgin network, old sky network only network listed on 'manage wireless networks'. yes, have deleted list, manually connected, (with 'connect automatically' checked), , rebooted. old sky network still appears on 'manage wireless networks' 1 listed. guess pc trying reconnect old sky network each time, failing, since isn't there, , is, reason, not attempting connect network there.

i have gone 'change adapter settings' , disabled second of 2 wireless network connections (the 1 labelled microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter). couldn't delete connection. disabling hasn't made difference either

can help?

thanks

peter

hi peter,

this possibly caused driver of network adapter or software runs it. see you've performed number of steps already, no avail.

in case, best perform steps discussed in support article. steps of equal importance, highlight necessity of using network troubleshooter , updating network adapter.

additionally, having network adapter (the hardware itself) checked. let see if root cause within hardware may not detected otherwise.

feel free reply if need more help.
