Black Screen after Login due to Update 1703 - Microsoft Community


after update 1703 can log in, find black screen cursor. taskmanager can opened , allows run programs. in appiication log can see, driver "igfxcuiservice2.0.0.0" of graphic card (intel(r) hd graphics 4600) has initialisation problem: can not find event-id "0". next log entry is, explorer.exe fails.

i tried find on web - not easy without start button... upgraded graphic driver - no change.

finally, disabling startup processes bad idea: made login impossible.

so remedy was, restore recent backup. disabled updates , wait better release.

igfxcuiservice2.0.0.0 still shows same log entry "information" in version 1607 (build 14393.953): can not find event-id "0".

anybody seen same problem?

had black screen after login when updated 1703 (the creators update) me culprit was intel rapid storage technology. uninstalled it, rebooted , have not had issue since . . .
