i have file of pictures on laptop (thinkpad) , trying transfer them usb inserted usb drive.  i can't seem "find" usb drive on laptop in order open can transfer files--i looked @ control panel can't seem figure out how open actual flashdrive access it

look in either computer or file explorer it.

this usual method:

how backup files:

open file explorer taskbar or computer start orb depending on operating system > go the file/s wish save > right click on > hover mouse cursor on send to > select external hard drive or memory stick have plugged in save them to.
