Microsoft Net Quality Rollup broke Intel Networking Drivers - Microsoft Community

     the latest december update of microsoft net quality rollup ended breaking intel networking drivers.  i use realtek networking drivers , still working fine.  this networking quality rollup december 2016 rushed , apparently had removed system , go november 2016 networking quality rollup things working again. disappointed patch quality level has become "new normal" microsoft windows operating systems.  this reason why not deploying windows 10.  i use windows 7 professional 64 bit until end of life in january 2020 , move flavor of linux , deploy windows virtually in future.  i feel problem when microsoft cut many of patch assurance people save money.  the bottom line wall street happy new microsoft future.  i not consumer , feel these issues hurt business community government communities in future.

it never idea accept driver updates windows update.  microsoft not know best drivers system , should driver updates when know resolve specific issue , hardware manufacturers www site.

accepting driver updates microsoft 1 reason there many topics start "windows update broke computer...".  if ever see them offered best decline , hide them never see them again.

it may possible "roll back" driver update device manager.

make note of installed , potentially afflicted driver know version doesn't work.
