i have desktop computer running windows 10 home edition 1tb hard drive. i'm installing solid state drive second hard drive. want install windows 10 home edition on drive , make boot drive. i'm confused if should download windows 10 home edition iso file or should use media creation tool? appreciated! also, suggestions or warnings problems might encounter. ssd 500gb there should no problem fitting windows on it. i'm keeping original hard drive use data drive.

if ssd bigger drive replacing, create system image on external hard disk, shut down computer, remove old hard drive, install new ssd restore system image:

anytime need reinstall windows 10 on machine, proceed reinstall windows 10. automatically reactivate. you prompted enter product key couple times through installation, click don't have key , later.
there no need know or new key, if have issues digital licensing or activation troubleshooter, can utilize existing windows 7 or windows 8/8.1 product key you ownto reactivate if necessary. or use reset function in windows 10.
