Windows 10 Education Will Not Install - Microsoft Community

i purchased windows 10 education (multilanguage) (work @ home) college work adjunct. able make bootable usb thumb drive image, on different laptop (it not see usb drive during install tool run).

however, unable install on system. laptop meets of basic , minimum requirements windows 10. install goes along fine until finalizing step reboots system. once this, tries install windows 10 again , ignores first install. if remove usb thumb drive has image , reboot system, tries load win 10 os, error pops reads: “windows not complete installation. install windows on computer, restart installation.” ok button cannot clicked nor can x close window accessed. tab not move focus onto either x of ok button. cannot hit shift+f10 cmd prompt either. left rebooting system. if place usb thumb drive in usb 2.0 or usb 3.0 slot (either, not matter), installation begins again. go on indefinitely, creating image partitions on drive each time run.

i have tried formatting drive, removing other drives, etc. nothing seems work.

msi gt60 2oc-022us

intel core i7-4700mq

nvidia geforce gtx 770m / 3gb gddr5

hard drive: 240g ssd

bios version: e16f4ims.503

ec version: 16f4ems1 ver. 7.17

legacy boot enabled

16g memory

the ssd drive not full. have formatted drive , started update if new drive no avail.

online trouble shooting has me checking secpol.msc value set 0. other “this fix it” info have found not work either. have tried repair option on win 10 install cannot fix/repair issue. calling microsoft customer service did nothing. told me take windows store (there none anywhere close).

i’d figure out. suggestions appreciated. have been told bios version may have i’m not sure how cause these issues.

i recommend download copy of windows 10 education iso create bootable copy using following instructions:

download windows 10 education iso files

if attend college or university, institution might provide education edition of windows 10. if provided license (product key), can download .iso file microsoft download academic products website.
