Suffix UPN becomes root domain - Microsoft Community

hi,

we have different standalone .local domains , in head office there's upn suffix company.com headoffice.local, own , synced office 365.

i'd create company.com root domain/forest , bring .local domains branch.company.com, branch1.company.com, etc. think right approach.

my question is, can create company.com without modifying upn suffix? conflicts?
