it great if can provide more information regarding issue. please answer these questions:

1)       were able access “entertainment” folder on computer in past? if yes, recent changes have made computer prior issue?

2)       where “entertainment” folder located? on same internal hard disk windows installed or external hard disk connected computer?

3)       are able access other folders on same location?

4)       how many administrator accounts have on computer? did try logging different admin accounts , check if same issue exist on accounts?

5)       do have third party security program installed on computer?

in scenario, let’s enable built-in administrator account , try giving ownership of “entertainment” folder administrators group of computer. suggest try following methods , check if resolves issue.

enable built-in administrator account , give ownership of “entertainment” folder administrators on computer.

a)       click on “start” button , type “cmd” in search box on start menu.

b)       right click on “cmd.exe” icon search result , select “run administrator” context menu open command prompt in elevated mode.

c)       in command prompt window, type following command , press  then “enter”: 

net user administrator /active:yes 

d)       type net user administrator password, , press “enter”. (you should see message command completed successfully. note: if haven’t set password inbuilt administrator on computer in past, may keep blank , press “enter”.)

e)       type “exit”, , press “enter”.

f)        log off current user account , login built-in administrator account. (you’ll see built-in administrator account option on login screen).

g)       from built-in administrator account, need open command prompt in elevated mode again.

h)       type following commands give ownership of folder administrators on computer.

takeown /f “enter complete path of the “entertainment” folder” /a /r /d y

icacls “enter complete path of the “entertainment” folder” /grant administrators:f /t

i)         wait process complete , @ end, should show message “successfully processed “n” files …..

you may try accessing “entertainment” folder administrator accounts on computer , check if resolves issue.

if issue persists, please additional information , findings have come across while performing above steps.


i have done once before origin not quite sure meant "enter complete path of 'x' folder" because when copied path in said like: "file" isn't valid. in program files (x86)

somebody please help. i'm not sure if need copy text or what. try again , if issue persists shall notify forum.
