Iam unable to activate windows 8.1 - Microsoft Community

my laptop activated when purchased  1 year ago.today in control panel saw option of add new feature.so go in , asked me product id.i searched in net , got few product id.i didnt purchased microsoft.when entered product id said succesful.after asked restart , agreed.after restarting asked me activate windows.i unable activate windows.even though searched throughout youtube unable activate it. asked me type product id when opened settings. typed it.but not working.now laptop working without activation..what can now. whether can return older stage. (that laptop activated ) deactivated.what can now. pls tell me how can activate without cost..

you not search on net few product keys upgrade 8.1 > 8.1 pro.

and upgrade not come free

you require a product key, not product i.d. add features 8.1, allowed upgrade 8.1 pro, etc..

microsoft no longer sells them.

try amazon.com. buy upgrade or reinstall original windows 8.1
