windows 8 wont upgrade, update or let me do a system refresh/reset - Microsoft Community

hi microsoft community,

ii have been having problem windows 8 pc while now. few months ago crashed couldn't find problem , issues started. windows said cant search updates , when click search online solutions closes screen. decided few solution , said run windows maintenance (guess what) doesn't work either. has problem wont error code , looked few solutions fix when went folder thing change auto task think there nothing in file. next issue though decided system reset cant bothered saving files , want pc normal working order. life , said error has occurred "no changes made" decided try in boot screen , tells me recovery partition missing. cant reset or refresh it, system restore wont work same message though said there restore point 14/08/16,

is there can try fix problem? upgrading win 10 usb (suggested friend) or getting windows 8 recovery iso (don't know is{suggested same person}) or or laptop $1200 paperweight?

but remember support , downloads 8 has ended.

you have choice of installing/reinstalling 8.1 or 10.

but won't 10 usb method mentioned.

with windows 8/8.1 product key on preinstalled operating systems (hp, acer, etc) embedded in bios in motherboard, lost and/or worn c.o.a. sticker problem no more.

when reinstall pick product key , activate system automatically.

the free upgrade windows 10 offer microsoft expired on 29th july, 2016.

but microsoft has number of exceptions in place users missed out on free upgrade and they have not stated end date these exceptions, adjust necessary.
