Quick question about possible video driver issues - Microsoft Community

so, when booted computer today , got on firefox, greeted black screen, screen came weird saying there video driver crash , recovered, , fine. didn't think while (this @ 3:25 pm) until had weird blackscreen , taskbar colors reverted default , firefox menu messed (things cut off, icons bigger in spots, etc.), didn't error here (this happened @ 1 am). wondering if it's sign video driver may getting old??

i have solution center version here, states it's video hardware error.

this appears in event viewer @ 3:20 pm wmi error. have 1 one here (the application error not related, that's due game playing got messed me messing sound).

so yeah, information on great. if need dump files, can go find (though may need pointed are, haven't dealt in while , forget if they're set automatically made...).

the graphics card driver possible issue @ moment. better assist need more information, please answer questions below:

  • did make changes before issue happen?
  • does black screen issue occur couple of minutes before comes messed screen?
  • have tried different browser, isolate issue?
