Hide Icon and Notifications - Microsoft Community

i want simplify "systems tray" on windows 8.1 laptop.  went "notification area icons" window hide 2 specific icons: 1) onedrive icon; , 2) realtek hd audio monitor icon.  however, though selected "hide icon , notifications" both of these icons, both icons continue appear in systems tray.  these 2 icons want hide - looks notification area icons window doesn't respond when select "hide icons..."  - , wouldn't let me hide other icons, either.  logged in administrator - what's going on here? why these icons still appear?

i have had computer couple of years , have never been able them not appear.  every once in while check see if these 2 icons reset "show icon , notifications", notification area icons page still shows selected each of these icons - "hide icon , notifications", not resetting itself.  ignoring instructions.  why?  why computer ignoring choices?   or, if 1 not allowed hide these icons, why choice hide them there in drop-down menu each in notification area icons window?

i not use onedrive, realize integral part of os.  did set when "syncs" nothing transferred it, although still goes through process of connecting.  (i have confirmed nothing being uploaded it.) don't want have @ icon in systems tray, more.  have hide icon , other 1 want hide???
