Forced Microsoft Password Change - Microsoft Community

i'm technologically challenged 78 y/o has been assaulted sudden demand change password on 2 sites in less 24 hours.  have no idea why have been challenged, seems have started other day when bought samsung tab tablet , tried install excel.  recognized me, i.e., knew email address, demanded change password.  frustrated backed out of process.  morning, tried @ facebook page, i've had 2 months , monitor daughter's ramblings (i don't know how post anything) , it's demanding change password.

okay, i'm going have create new one, wonder other havoc create.  i'm vaguely aware there's form of integration among bunch of websites, programs, android apps, etc., of i'm clueless existence and/or function, wit: i'm aware of "cloud" , have vague understanding of function, but have no idea of how to use it.  in other words, if change password on excel on new tablet, automatically change password facebook page?  or, have change each 1 individually, and need different password each site/function?  also, there's confusion in mind google vs microsoft , whom.  there list somewhere shows these sites/function , how they're inter-related?  finally, what's 72 day bs?

when signed different websites, require change password every 30, 60 or 90 days security or privacy purposes. however, depend on administrator or developer of websites. recommend checking terms , policies.

for better assistance, we'd following information.

• did downloaded excel application tablet?
• what e-mail address using when accessing excel? @outlook.com or @hotmail.com?
• can provide screenshot 72 days bs?
