downloading/installing windows updates - Microsoft Community

selected 4 updates install on inspiron 1 computer using windows 7 home edition. installation bar comes up, below says " 4 updates selected total 0kb 0% installed". i've left running night , nothing gets installed. can tell me what's going on there , how correct it?

have ever run mcafee consumer products removal tool?
