Clean Install of Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

many people have made statements creating clean installs of windows 10, , many of statements go "use restore function" , that's frankly not i'm looking for. want used windows 7, put in disc , install os there, or maybe, if it's possible, usb drive (not laptops have disc drive). there's media creation tool thing that's supposed allow me clean install, hoping give me simple walkthrough of necessary properly, standard ones i've found made microsoft go way detail in places no detail needed, , not enough detail needed. :/ in advance!

if not have windows 10 installation media click here to download media creation tool (click on download tool now), can download latest windows 10 iso (select create installation media pc), create installation media on either flash drive (min 4gb) or dvd

insert installation media system

go bios, change boot order boot installation media

if have uefi bios

1. disable secure boot (if option available)
2. enable legacy bios

then, boot pc installation media created

when window appears, select bottom option (custom: install windows only)

when window appears, select each partition, click disc options , delete partitions, until 1 unallocated partition remains. select partition , install onto . . .

during installation, skip steps of inserting product key clicking 'skip' , 'i not have product key'

check box marked 'i reinstalling windows 10 on pc'

if had windows 10 installed , activated on pc during installation process select 'i reinstalling windows 10 on pc', , activation not issue, pc have digital entitlement stored on microsoft servers

otherwise have purchase windows 10 licence
