Surface Book - Windows 10 and Store cannot get updates - Microsoft Community

hello,

new surface book click on windows updates keeps saying "couldn't connect update service"

store cannot download app keep getting error code 0x80248014 every app trying download

i have gone through variety of steps try , resolve these are

1. windows 10 update troubleshoot
2. stop wuauserv rename softwaredistribution folder , start wuauserv
3. manually reset windows updates components
4. tried sfc , dism

am not sure on next wouldn't expect out of brand new out of box product

i have spoken microsoft advised try following software repair tool

however did not work, told me if doesn't succeed return surface book replacement.

not ideal solutions maybe problem surface book or factory install , there continually problems.  microsoft did support replacement/refund customer service great.  bit of pain returning item , waiting on replacement in hope same problem not happen again.

if have suggestions other option let me know feel maybe , best option there bigger problems ahead.
