Having Trouble Updating My DirectX - Microsoft Community

i have windows 8.1 64bit .. in 2015 when first got laptop , downloaded directx site frequent .. been trying install , update directx week , keeps telling had problems updating , saying need check windows folders .. did search directx_log , nothing .. suggestion's ?

we can see here having issues updating directx. having said that, doing troubleshooting steps isolate causing problem. before proceed, may know following:

  • any changes made on computer prior concern?
  • what troubleshooting steps have tried far?
  • can send screenshot error message getting when trying update directx? note: please not include personal information.


Windows / Windows 8.1 / Install, upgrade, & activate / Download and install
